By transmuting the aspects that are resonating at a lower frequency and that are out of harmony with the coherence of the heart and the field of unconditional love, we can fine tune the instruments that make up the orchestra of our being

Intention is focussed desire. A way of aiming our will into the sphere of all possibility.

I like to think of it as the tension that is created by the pull of an imaginary cord that is connected to  the arrow that stretches between us and the place of our projected desire.

When we intend to enquire about something or reflect more deeply into the meaning of a particular aspect, we first need to intend to do so and, although this may appear to be really obvious, it is the first step that defines the beginning of a journey of discovery, understanding and realisation.

To intend is to make a clear request and trust that it will be received by an infinite intelligence and that whatever we desire will be delivered to us swiftly. As our focus is directed, the universal principle of attraction starts to come into play between us and  the object that we aim to connect with and, as if by magic, this has the effect of bringing it readily into alignment with our field of awareness.

Therefore, intent is one of the most important aspects of all spiritual work and is the means by which we can align our will to spirit.

In the context of a counselling session, stating a clear and succinct intention in regard to the issue we want to work with, frames our enquiry and plays an essential role in keeping the work on focus and quicken the answers to our quest.

When we set the intent within the safety of the sacred space of a session, it can often seem as though the aspects that we are investigating are brought to our awareness more readily, shedding light on the issues involved and deepening our understanding of a situation.

Once our intention is defined, asking and listening from the heart becomes a form of focussed inward enquiry, that can allow us to connect with our own wisdom and get in touch with whatever aspects may be blocked or in a state of disharmony and that may be calling our attention.

When we surrender to our higher awareness with the intention of finding our heart-centred connection and accept that we may not always have all the answers or understand the root cause of things, we can let go of our need to control the outcome and follow the clues as they suggest themselves on what may be needed to bring about change.

As pain and suffering dissolve more and more, along with the dissolution of lower emotional states of fear and judgement, we become more receptive and able to anchor emotions of a higher frequency, like acceptance, trust and love, in our everyday experience.

By intentionally choosing to raise our vibration, we can readily identify any aspects that have fallen out of alignment and that are expressing a lower vibrational state in our life.

Once our heart-connection becomes established, we can foster a direct link to our higher awareness and use intention to set the course of our choices in a way that most favours the experiences we wish to have.

In this way, we can gradually raise our vibration in all areas of our life and celebrate a new found awareness that can help us to take responsibility for the role we play as co-creators of our own reality.
